Yes, we would love for you to get involved! Our Contraction & Convergence campaign is seeking to link universities across the
Our goals are to:
1. Have the NUS pass a motion in support of Contraction & Convergence.
2. Have 30
3. Have 2000 people sign the Contraction & Convergence petition to the
4. Set-up an active web Contraction & Convergence portal.
5. Have people write to their MPs, urging them to act on Contraction & Convergence.
As you can see, this is an incredibly exciting project, and there are opportunities to get involved at many different levels. Below you will find a number of steps, ranging from small to large, on how you can get involved!
PERSONAL STEPS:
-Educate yourself! There is a lot of information about Contraction & Convergence available online. Check out our “Web Links” section for some useful suggestions. Talk to your friends, neighbors, family, and teachers, and professors about Contraction & Convergence! Attend public meetings, engage your community!
-Join our mailing list for local and international updates about Contraction & Convergence in general, and the Climate Justice Project!
-Sign a petition to Tony Blair, encouraging him to adopt policies of Contraction & Convergence and carbon rationing:

-Pledge your support (link) to the Climate Justice Project by selecting which actions you’re planning to take.
GROUP STEPS:
Get your university involved! This could involve starting up an environmental group, or working with a group you’re already involved with, or it could even just be a small core of committed individuals.
-Visit “Campaign Resources” to sign up for an informational pack with our forthcoming publication, an introductory welcome, a motion to be passed by your student union, an FAQ sheet, a press release.
-Get your student union to pass a motion in support of Contraction & Convergence. A sample motion is available at “Campaign Resources” or in the pack you can receive.
-Get your organisation involved! We are looking to forge alliances with all sorts of groups around the nation who are interested in Climate Change issues. Whether you’re a social justice group, faith-based, Contraction & Convergence, or anything else, please be in touch! (Link to Team Members)
